The Teach Us To Pray curriculum is structured upon the various elements of prayer found in the Lord’s Prayer. This Student Personal Study Guide is part of a multi-platform curriculum designed to help young people grow in their connection with God. The 35-lesson curriculum includes 35 short stories, a PDF handbook page that provides seven thoughts on prayer with the supporting Scripture for each lesson (a total of 245 prompts), this active participation Student Personal Study Guide, a Teacher’s Manual with guidelines for teaching the lessons, a session planning sheet for each lesson, additional teacher resources, and of course, tests for each unit.

Transcendent Kingdom

Transcendent Kingdom is the first book in a three-part series within the 35 lesson Teach Us To Pray Youth curriculum. It is centered around Jesus’ response when His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. This book features Jesus words: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” Those words are simple enough to remember, but their meaning is profound. In these 12 creative lessons your young people are encouraged to reflect on the nature of the God to whom we pray. They will come to comprehend what it means that their God is the Creator of all things…that He is loving, holy and just. They will discover what it does and doesn’t mean to pray in Jesus’ name, and what it does and doesn’t mean to pray in the Spirit.

Kingdom Builders

Kingdom Builders is the second book in a three-part series within the 35-lesson Teach Us To Pray curriculum. It is centered around Jesus’ response when His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. It is focused on the words: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.” Have you ever reflected on the depth of those words? They are certainly worthy of investigation. These 13 lessons will build Kingdom qualities into the lives of the students. These qualities include: gratitude, humility, grace, faith, joy, fellowship, submission, abiding, persistence in prayer, petition for their daily needs, shelter, mercy and forgiveness.

Kingdoms in Conflict

Kingdoms in Conflict is the third book in a three-part series within the 35-lesson Teach Us To Pray curriculum. It is centered around Jesus’ response when His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. These 10 intriguing lessons will assist young people in dealing with the spiritual battles that we all face. This book features Jesus’ words: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” This study will help young people understand how God provides for them in the battle against the evil one. The unique challenges of the teenage years make some people especially vulnerable to those attacks. The students will learn about dealing with temptation, our spiritual enemy and God’s protection.
