Transcendent Kingdom (Lessons 1-12)
Transcendent Kingdom is the first of three books in this 35-lesson curriculum. It is focused on the words: “Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be your Name.” Those words are simple enough to remember, but their meaning is profound. In the twelve lessons in the Transcendent Kingdom manuals young people are encouraged to reflect on the nature of the God to whom we pray. He is a loving Father… i.e. His very nature is love and just Father…-i.e. everything he does is fair and right. He our Father who is in heaven…i.e. the great I AM who created the heavens and the earth. The implications of that are significant. He is holy…i.e. His Name must be revered. There is power found in the name of Jesus, but it cannot be abused. What does it mean to pray in Jesus’ name and what are the limits of praying in Jesus’ name?
